12 Live Sakura Fire Red Cherry Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi) - Breeding Age Young Adults at 1/2 to 1 Inch Long + Java Moss and Aquatic Arts Brand Food Sample
Manufacturer: Aquatic Arts Brand: Aquatic Arts
Add some color and excitement to your aquarium with Red Cherry Shrimp! These shrimp look great, clean your tank, and are a blast to watch! They are very active and breed very quickly. Each bag contains at least 20 Cherry Shrimp, but we usually ship extras. We generally ship young adult shrimp that are already of breeding age. These are freshwater shrimp and can live in almost any freshwater aquarium. They are very popular for planted tanks and community tanks, and many people use them in large aquariums for waste management and algae control. All Red Cherry Shrimp are extremely adaptable creatures that can live in almost any freshwater aquarium. Some of the younger shrimp have not reached their full potential yet and will grow into a deep red color as long as they are comfortable in the tank. Lower intensity lighting and dark substrate also helps them achieve the deepest and darkest reds. RECOMMENDED TANK PARAMETERS: - pH level range: 6.0 - 8.0 - Temperature range: 65° - 80° F - Water type: Soft to hard - Recommended Aquatic Arts tank mates: Other types of dwarf shrimp (such as Blue Velvet shrimp, Neon Yellow Shrimp, Green Babaulti shrimp, etc.), various types of snails (such as Nerite Snails, Sulawesi Snails, etc.). They can also be kept with small to medium-sized, non-aggressive fish. - Additional notes: Relatively easy to care for - similar to other dwarf shrimp species. Dwarf shrimp prefer to live in tanks with live aquatic plants (such as java moss, Anubias barteri, green cabomba, etc). This is because dwarf shrimp like the cover that plants provide, they love to graze on the plants for algae, and the plants help keep the water clean for them.
1 Live Electric Blue Crayfish/Freshwater Lobster (2+ Inch Young Adult) by Aquatic Arts
Manufacturer: Aquatic Arts Brand: Aquatic Arts
Included is one Electric Blue Crayfish of the Procambarus alleni variety. This will be a young adult that is around two to three inches long, but they grow up to five to six inches long as adults and become a more intense cerulean blue color as they grow. These are very active crayfish that do not spend all of their time under rocks. They are well known for keeping tanks clean and free of waste. NOTE: We recommend a tank size minimum of 30 gallons for this crayfish when it is fully grown. Though crayfish are NOT friendly to other aquarium inhabitants, they can often live with fast-moving fish and animals that are not bottom-dwellers. They are fairly slow and only a sick fish would be able to be caught by the crayfish. We keep them with guppies and fire red cherry shrimp, and have never seen a death, but we cannot guarantee that dwarf shrimp will be completely safe if kept with a large crayfish. Also, they may eat live plants, though some are worse about destroying plants than others. These crayfish can live in almost any freshwater aquarium and are among the toughest freshwater tank inhabitants available to the hobby. This is the blue variant of this species, with white specimens also being available. RECOMMENDED TANK PARAMETERS: - pH level range: 6.5 to 7.5 - Temperature range: 65° to 85° F - Water type: Soft to hard - Recommended Aquatic Arts tank mates: Fast-moving fish (such as danios, rasboras, guppies, etc.). Cichlids can be aggressive towards crayfish and should not be kept in the same tank. - Additional notes: Crayfish prefer foods like invertebrate pellets or blanched vegetables, but will also eat fish food and algae wafers. Crayfish molt periodically and sometimes eat their old exoskeleton.
5 Live Assassin Snails (Clea helena - 1/2 to 1 Inch) - Removes All Pest Snails! by Aquatic Arts
Manufacturer: Aquatic Arts Brand: Aquatic Arts
Assassin snails are one of the most useful animals in the aquarium hobby. I came across them when I had snail infested tanks, but did not want to use harsh chemicals to kill the snails. Five assassin snails will destroy a pest snail population very quickly. We have had 30 gallon tanks that were totally overrun with unwanted MTS Snails, and five "assassins" dealt with over 100 of them within a week. These snails have a very attractive coloration as well. Because of the black-and-yellow striping, they look fantastic on both light and dark-colored substrates. Assassin snails grow to about 2" long when fully grown. RECOMMENDED TANK PARAMETERS: - PH level range: 6.5 to 7.5 - Temperature range: 68 to 74 degrees Fahrenheit - Water type: Soft to hard - Recommended Aquatic Arts tank mates: Dwarf shrimp (such as Blue Velvet shrimp, Sakura Fire Red Cherry Shrimp, Neon Yellow Shrimp, etc.), and small to medium-sized, non-aggressive fish. They eat all other types of snails that are their size or smaller, but they will not harm snails that are larger (such as Mystery snails, Giant Sulawesi snails, larger Nerite snails). However, a group of assassin snails may gang up on a larger snail and cause it harm. - Additional notes: Having good substrate is important with Assassin Snails, as they love to burrow in it. Other than snails, they eat leftover fish flakes or invertebrate pellets. Snails are very sensitive to copper, so watch out for copper if you use tap water in your tank.
