The Catalina Aquarium titanium heater comes with a free guard . It uses the titanium tubing for fast heat conduction. The titanium tubing can resist corrosion caused by saltwater or PH fluctuation of water and will not crack due to impact. Due to its high operating temperature, the aquarium titanium heater must be fully submerged at all times while on. Run the heater in a place which will never run out of water. If the heater is run out of water while it's on, the sensor will not work and the titanium tube will crack and be rendered useless. If you are going to clean your fish tank, turn the heater off and unplug it first. Make sure the controller is in a safe, dry place and the titanium heating element is always fully submerged. Dimensions: The Heater Is 11 Inches In Length And One And 1/4 Inch In Diameter With A Six Foot Long Power Cord. The cord from the heater to the controller is about 5 feet. Recommended For Larger Aquariums 150 To 400 Gallons. The Heat Controller Has An Operating Range Of 72-93 degrees F and includes a temperature sensor for submersible mounting. To set the temperature, press the up or down arrow on the controller to the temperature you want, let go. As the water temperature in your tank heats up, you will see controller temperature raise until it gets to the temperature you set it for.
