Java Fern - Huge 3 by 5 inch Mat with 30 to 50 Leaves - Live Aquarium Plant by Aquatic Arts
Manufacturer: Aquatic Arts
Brand: Aquatic Arts
Java Fern is a very popular plant in the hobby due to its impressive size, density, and its minimal care requirements. Java Fern can thrive even in poorly lit aquariums, and in the right conditions it is a very aggressive grower, meaning it provides excellent waste removal from the water column. This plant is excellent for aquariums that house fish, snails, and dwarf shrimp, as it provides biofilm, hiding places, and security for all aquarium inhabitants. This ships as a 5"x3" mat with 30 to 50 leaves! It comes on a mat of substrate that can be discarded or planted under the substrate. The mat can also be broken into smaller pieces to spread the plant to different locations or multiple aquariums. The Java Fern mat in the picture is one that is planted in one of our personal aquariums, and is the same size we send. All of our plants are bright and healthy because they are kept in a water in a plant-dedicated tank rather than plastic packaging, which means your plant will arrive in top condition.

Marimo Moss Balls are a great addition to any aquarium. They are easy to maintain, needs no anchorage and looks great in any tank. Shrimps, fishes and snails love them and even play with them like toys. Like all plants, they absorb nitrates and provides some oxygen. But even though Marimo Moss Balls are known to be hardy and impossible to kill, they need help to nurture their growth too! LUFFY Ball Food is a liquid plant food, especially created for marimos. It contains the exact ratio of Phosphate, Calcium and Nitrates in addition to the required salts. Phosphate and Nitrates help the marimos to grow fast, whereas Calcium helps to make the marimo ball greener and healthier than ever. Unlike surviving on aquarium life waste matter that takes a longer time for the nutrients to break down and be absorbed, LUFFY Ball Food is direct. Since it is liquid, it is easier for your marimo balls to absorb. Dosage: Apply a few drops to your Marimo Moss Ball once a week. After the end of the week, change 50% of the tank water and repeat the cycle. When you do so, give your Marimo Moss Ball a little squeeze to prepare it to absorb its food.

Flourite is a specially fracted stable porous clay gravel for the natural planted aquarium. Its appearance is best suited to planted aquaria, but may be used in any aquarium environment. Flourite is most effective when used alone as an integral substrate bed, but it may be mixed with other gravels. Gravel modifiers such as laterite are not necessary. Flourite is not chemically coated or treated and will not alter the pH of the water. Although pre-washed, it should be rinsed before use to remove residual dust. Dust can also be minimized by filling tank slowly and dispersing water so that the Flourite bed is not disturbed. Slight initial cloudiness is normal and will clear rapidly (2-12 hours). This bag is sufficient for about a 5 cm (2 inch) deep bed in a typical 40 L (10 gallon) tank. Recommended use is 1 kg (2 lbs) for approximately each 200 cm2 (31 in2) of tank bottom at a depth of 5 cm (2 in).Although planted aquariums are often considered to be too difficult for the beginning hobbyist, we believe that planted aquaria are actually ideal for the beginner. With the right substrate the beginner can have a successful aquarium with a minimum of maintenance. As the beginner becomes more comfortable in the hobby they will feel inclined to experiment a bit and thus build on the solid foundation they have already established. It won`t always be necessary to dose your aquarium with each of the products in the Flourish line, but as an example, we have developed one possible dosing regimen using all of our plant products. This is by no means the only way to dose your aquarium; it is merely a suggestion. Your dosing regimen will depend greatly on a variety of factors, including lighting, initial water quality, how heavily stocked your aquarium is, substrate selection, and types of plants; so don`t be surprised if getting the results you want takes a little experimentation.Concentration of nutrients in Flourite: Aluminum: 10210 Barium: 124 Calcium: 195 Cobalt: 6 Chr
